WHO ARE WE?

Purple Sunrise is a stall selling gifts (figurines, wind chimes, gothic and ethnic lines), fashion accessories(hats, bags, scarves, sunglasses etc.). We trade mainly at motorbike rallies and festivals from roughly Easter to the end of October. You can find us occasionally at other music type festivals as well. See our tour list for this year. We could at this point use the common saying run by bikers for bikers.... it is true but we tend to think that phrase is a bit over used these days! Oh and yes I do own a bike!

The stall was started in 2002 by myself (Chris Tetley) having worked before for others on the rally circuit. So having had a few successful years trading we have decided to set up an online version of the well known rally stall. Actually last year I was asked so many times by customers if I had a website that I decided it had to be done this winter (2006/7). Please bear with me while I construct this as I am doing it myself and have never done it before, so do let me know if anything doesn't work and I can have a go at putting it right.

We are based in Whaley Bridge near Buxton in Derbyshire in the lovely Peak District, so we tend to trade around the midlands and north of the country with occasional forays into Wales and down south. Very sorry we do not have a shop so cannot accept callers other than at the events listed on the tour page where there may be an admission charge etc. (address on contacts page)

TERMS ETC

I don't want to bore you with all the in's and out's of gobbledygook but here are a few points to note;

All items offered for sale on this site are subject to being in stock and available. We do try our best to despatch orders as soon as possible(by next day when we can), but please be aware that we may be at rallies or festivals (as above) typically from thursday to sunday. So it may not be possible to despatch during those days. If there is a delay (other than above) or the item(s) is out of stock and we cannot get them within a couple of days or so, we will then contact you to let you know and ask you how you wish to proceed.

All items are checked for damage before despatch. Should any item arrive damaged please contact us immediately and then return to us by Royal Mail to the address on the contacts page. Should you not be happy with your purchase please inform us and return it to us for credit but do so straight away as we cannot accept goods back for refund after you have had them for more than 7 days. All original packaging must be retained and used for any returns. We reserve the right to make a re-stocking charge on items returned for no reason. We cannot accept back any items which have been worn other than for the purpose of trying on.

All logos used on this site have been provided by their respective owners, please do not copy or use them and infringe upon their copyrights, though we cannot be held responsible for their misuse.

Standard rate: Items will be sent (by default) Royal Mail First Class unless you ask for an alternative service or as stated otherwise. We usually use a signed for service where possible so please state an address where there will be someone in to receive your parcels.

Economy Rate: Items sent second class (recorded) are subject to a maximum of 1kg in weight. For items over this weight we will have to send by standard parcel rate which will take (according to the Post Office) 3-5 working days. The difference in cost for some weights is not much different to first class so customers should consider their options. This can be done on the shopping cart.

Carriage will always be charged at cost. A basic approximate cost will be shown on your shopping cart. This is only a best guess figure based on the weight of the items ordered, in most cases I will try to get this figure down to below the one indicated Two or three items ordered at a time usually are less than the amount shown. If you place you order by the cheque payment method, when your order is ready, I will contact you tell you the final amount and arrange payment.

Payment can be made by most credit/debit cards, or by cheque but we will need to allow extra time for this to clear first. Please do not send cash by the post. We will not take your payment until your items are ready for despatch should there be a longer delay we will inform you of this.

Nothing contained in the above list will affect your statuory rights.

We can accept orders from outside the UK, again all items will be subject carriage generally higher than those indicated but there also may be extra charges relating to exchange rates etc.
